Pedagogues and parents are invited to join a mass football training program that provides knowledge on how to organize sessions for children up to 12 years old.
About 400 people of various ages and professions have already attended the LFF D license courses in Lithuania - from football players and coaches to sports enthusiasts and parents raising young children. The latest course session took place on September 15-16 in the picturesque town of Sudeikiai in Utena district.
"We had the second LFF D license seminar at the multifunctional center in Sudeikiai. All participants arrived having completed their homework, with the right attitude and motivation to gain more knowledge, get acquainted with football techniques. We actively discussed the specifics of coaching football for children aged 7-12.
Now we pay more attention to introducing parents and school teachers to the subtleties of training exercises, so it is pleasing that participating coaches help them understand not just what the exercise looks like, but why and for what purpose it is used. We talked about the importance of seeing how a child performs the exercise, so we can correct mistakes in time and ensure that the exercises correspond to the age group," said coach Martynas Karpavicius.
"After the first part of the course, when we had to do homework, there was really a lot to think about. When I returned to the kindergarten in September, I let the children play football, and their interest and my interest were truly noticeable.
I definitely recommend this license to teachers. My colleagues asked me where and why I was going, and my information about the courses definitely interested them," shared physical education teacher Asta Žymančienė.
