Amsterdam's "Ajax" manager Peter Bosz was delighted with the performance of his players, who in the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League defeated "Lyon" club 4-1.
The representatives of the Netherlands took one step closer to the tournament final thanks to Bertrand Traore's brace, as well as goals from Kasper Dolberg and Amin Younes. It is also worth mentioning the three assists made by Hakim Ziyech.
The coach believes that the most important aspect of yesterday's match was that his players were able to capitalize on the first opportunities they created.
"It was a strange game. I thought we played quite poorly in the first 15-20 minutes. 'Lyon' was pressing us and we couldn't play. It seemed like we were tense," Bosz said after the match.
"However, contrary to what we have been doing all season, we took advantage of our first two opportunities. Suddenly we were ahead 2-0."
"Together with fantastic support, something beautiful happened."
Although the "Ajax" strategist said that the team will need another similar performance, they can already dream cautiously about the final. Amsterdam's team will face either "Manchester United" or "Celta Vigo" in the next round.
