"Mundo Deportivo" reports that "Manchester City" has reached an agreement with the current Munich "Bayern" manager, Pep Guardiola, while the English newspaper "Daily Mirror" announces that the English vice-champions are interested in "Liverpool"'s midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
The "City" management sees the Brazilian as a long-term replacement for one of the team leaders, David Silva, who will turn thirty this January. Meanwhile, various sources suggest that Coutinho wants to play in the UEFA Champions League, and if "Liverpool" fails to qualify for the tournament, the 23-year-old player will move to another team.
However, it won't be easy for "Man City" to lure him, as Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested in the midfielder. Additionally, his current contract with the "Reds" runs until 2020, so the Arab owners of the English club will have to pay a significant release clause.
