"Juventus" forward Paulo Dybala is one of the leaders of the Italian champions this season, although he was very close to leaving in the summer.
The 26-year-old Argentine's services were actively sought after by "Manchester United" and London's "Tottenham", but P. Dybala ultimately stayed in Turin.
The footballer, speaking to "The Guardian", revealed that he seriously considered a new career move, but the new Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri wanted to see him in his team.
"I was very close to leaving. I knew the club wanted to sell me. The situation was unclear until the very last moment.
I still have two years left on my contract. It's not a small amount, but it's not a lot either. We'll see what the club decides. Maybe they will want to sell me in the next transfer window, or maybe they will try to keep me.
The final decision will be made by the club, and it's difficult to predict anything because everything changes very quickly.
"Juventus" has always treated me well. I feel really happy here, and the new coach played a big role in that. Sarri wanted me to stay in the team, and that gave me additional motivation," said P. Dybala.
