During Thursday evening's Italian Cup quarter-final match, "Roma" defeated "Genoa" with a score of 1:0 at home.
Throughout the match, Jose Mourinho's players had control in their hands. In the first half, the latter created several dangerous moments, but the teams went into the break with a scoreboard showing zeros.
The hosts managed to break through in the second half, with Paulo Dybala scoring in the 64th minute to make it 1:0. The Argentine striker defeated the opponents' goalkeeper with a powerful shot.
“Genoa” couldn't find the strength to equalize the score and ended their journey in the Italian Cup at the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, “Roma” will face the winner of the pair "Napoli" and "Cremonese" in the quarterfinals.
