P. Evra extended contract with "Man Utd" club

"Manchester United" club has extended a contract with 33-year-old left-back defender Patrice Evra.

The Frenchman has agreed with the "Red Devils" team to stay in the team for another season.

P. Evra's services were also sought by the Turin team "Juventus", but the footballer decided to stay in Manchester.

It was rumored that P. Evra could be replaced by defender Luke Shaw from "Southampton" club. It is speculated that the young Englishman will still try to be lured into the "Man Utd" ranks by the new team strategist Louis van Gaal.

P. Evra has been playing for "Man Utd" since 2006 and has played 379 official matches for the team.

Then, led by Sir Alex Ferguson, the team acquired the Frenchman from the "Monaco" team in 2006 for 7 million pounds sterling.
