P. Golubickas - the best player of the 'TOPsport A League' for the month of September.

The only Vilnius "Žalgiris" attack in the "TOPsport A League" operates almost seamlessly, significantly aided by the excellent season of  Paulius Golubickas.

After tallying the votes from championship commentators, podcast hosts, and club captains, submitted by the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) cooperating with the "TOPsport A League," the best player of September was celebrated as "Žalgiris" midfielder P. Golubickas.

The Žalgiris player returned to the lineup last month after an injury sustained in mid-August and played three fantastic matches. In the confrontation with Kauno rajono "Hegelmann," he came on as a substitute, energized the play, and contributed to the equalizing goal, while in the winning duels against "Kauno Žalgiris" and Alytaus DFK "Dainava," he scored a goal in each game and made several sharp passes during attacks, allowing his teammates to enjoy accurate shots.

In total, this season, the 25-year-old P. Golubickas has scored 5 goals and provided 9 assists in 28 matches. In terms of the latter statistic, the Žalgiris player is only behind his teammate Joel Bopesu.

"In my opinion, September was one of the better months for me this season. I needed a bit of rest, a bit of time, which I believe was the most crucial detail for my recovery. Once I could run and move, I managed to maintain my physical condition with the physical load and not fall out of the seasonal rhythm. It's nice that the injury didn't derail me, and I was able to continue demonstrating good play."

The main goal is to continue performing solidly and to fight for the champion title," shared the representative of the Lithuanian national team.

In March, April, June, and August, other "Žalgiris" representatives became the best players – Giedrius Matulevičius, Joel Bopesu, and Liviu Antalis twice, while in May, the best was "Hegelmann's" Brazilian Leo Ribeiro, and in July, his teammate Artem Ščedras.
