"Norwich" team upset Pep Guardiola's coached army so much last weekend that they shot like from a cannon in the match against "Watford".
On Saturday, the "Citizens" washed away the "Watford" footballers from the surface of the ground with a stunning 8:0 victory at their stadium. The score was already 5:0 after the first 18 minutes.
The victory with such a margin was the biggest in the history of the "Man City" team. They were just one goal short of the all-time English Premier League record.
"It's strange and abnormal. Five shots, five goals," Guardiola said after the game.
"The match was quite strange because even after the first goal, we allowed them to create two chances to score. We demonstrated quality football, which is pleasant to watch. Once the score becomes 5:0, the match becomes completely different," continued the Catalan coach.
"We were ruthless - we scored five goals from five shots. Sometimes you take 15 or 20 shots and fail to score. It was a pleasant day for all of us.
In the second half, we played for the spectators. I wouldn't have liked it if my team had run less in the second half just because we were leading 5:0," added the strategist.
