"Manchester City” club head coach Pep Guardiola praised his pupil Savinho and revealed why he chooses the Brazilian over Jack Grealish:

"Savio was incredible. He is a great player and deserves to play.

I am very, very happy with his work ethic – it’s unbelievable for all of us.”

"Savio has to compete with J. Grealish and right now the Brazilian is in better shape and everything, which is why Savinho is playing.

I needed Jack Grealish when we won three titles, yes. But I try to be honest with myself, Savio deserves it.”

20-year-old Savinho has scored a goal in 25 matches this season.
