P. Guardiola: "Barcos" match with "Las Palmas" was not supposed to happen

"Manchester City" coach Pep Guardiola is disappointed that yesterday "Barcelona" club was forced to play against "Las Palmas", and the match even took place in an empty "Camp Nou".

Such a decision was made due to the extremely chaotic Catalonia independence referendum, which Spain opposed. During it, several people were injured, and the events could have moved to the stadium, as "Barca" is considered a symbol of this region.

The "City" manager spent a total of 17 years in this club and in the past represented the Catalonia national team seven times.

"The match between Barca and Las Palmas? I would not have played it at all," Guardiola told Catalunya Radio.

"If you ultimately play that match, it must happen together with the fans, with all the consequences."

Guardiola is considered one of the best Barcelona strategists of all time.
