P. Guardiola dedicated "Man City" victory to imprisoned Catalan leaders

"Manchester City" yesterday in the UEFA Champions League managed to defeat the excellent form demonstrating "Napoli" club, and the "city" coach Pep Guardiola decided to dedicate this difficult victory to two imprisoned Catalan leaders.

Jordi Cuixart and Jordi Sanchez are currently sitting behind bars in Spain for their attempt to fight for independence for Catalonia.

The referendum that took place on October 1 was very controversial, and the Spanish Supreme Court declared it illegal.

"This victory is dedicated to them (Cuixart and Sanchez)", said Guardiola, who comes from Catalonia.

"In Catalonia, we showed that citizenship is more important than any ideas. We hope they will be released soon."

On Tuesday, protests also took place in the streets of Barcelona, showing opposition to the imprisonment of the Catalan leaders mentioned. Guardiola spent several years in the main club of this city, both as a player and as a coach.
