P. Guardiola: "Every match is now a final"

Pep Guardiola believes that the English "Premier" league has never been so challenging, so now the leading teams are facing matches that are akin to finals.

Manchester City managed to return to the title race by defeating "Liverpool" at home. The "Reds" were close to equalizing, but Leroy Sane made an effort to make their opponents taste the bitterness of defeat this season.

"Even before the match, we knew that a victory would return us to the title race, and if we lost, it would be over for us," said P. Guardiola. "I can't remember when the league was so challenging."

"There are so many candidates who can compete for the top spot. It's an open struggle, and every match now is a final," added the Catalan.

"Liverpool" is still the leaders, but we managed to reduce the gap. I highly respect what "Tottenham" is doing. We can also look at "Man Utd", who are gradually returning to the fight. We also have "Chelsea" and "Arsenal".

"I have no doubt that Jurgen will disagree with this, but their defeat was a good result for the whole league," Guardiola concluded, not conceding to Klopp this season.

Man City will now take a slight break from the "Premier" league - they have a match in the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup semifinal against "Burton" ahead.
