Pep Guardiola admits that his success with Barcelona and Bayern Munich was determined by the players who played for those clubs.
Over seven seasons in Spain and Germany, the Catalan manager won six league titles, but his current team Manchester City is now trailing the English league leader Chelsea by seven points.
"Will I not be successful? Will I not be successful?" Guardiola told Sky Sports' Thierry Henry. "That happens to all coaches - all coaches are fired, all coaches win or lose, all coaches experience failures in the Premier League in November. All world coaches make mistakes."
"Do you think I'm special or unique? Of course not. But everyone said we were lucky - we were lucky to have players like (points to Henry), like Messi, like Philipp Lahm, like Xabi Alonso, like Lewandowski, and that's why I succeeded."
"When I won many times with Barcelona, at press conferences I often said, 'We win because I have unbelievable players.' A huge club, amazing players. However, people said, 'He's humble. He pretends to be humble.'
"Now they say, 'He won because he had great players.' Yes, that's true! I said that many years ago, that's normal."
Tomorrow evening, the Man City team will face Arsenal from London.
