Today at a press conference, Pep Guardiola confirmed in the media the rumors about the club trying to acquire Leroy Sane and John Stones.
The 20-year-old winger Sane currently belongs to "Schalke," while the 22-year-old center-back plays for "Everton" club. After the match against "Borussia" at the press conference, Guardiola openly admitted that he is trying to acquire both of these players.
"Sane is a 'Schalke' player. If he comes, we will be happy. But if he stays, I will be happy for 'Schalke' fans. The answer regarding Stones is the same – he is still an 'Everton' player. Everyone knows that we are trying to acquire them, but we will have to see if we succeed," Guardiola said.
It is said that Sane has already submitted a request to the 'Schalke' club leaders to sell him, but he has a contract until 2019, and the same applies to Stones's contract with 'Everton.' However, there have been talks since last summer that the defender would like to move to a stronger club.
