Pep Guardiola believes that "Manchester City" and "Liverpool" have surpassed all standards of the English Premier League in recent years.
Preparing for tonight's match against London's "Arsenal," P. Guardiola is convinced that currently, in order to win the Premier League, the team needs to collect more than 85 points, as it was before.
"When I arrived here in 2016, the standard to win the league was 85 points. Now, in order to triumph in the Premier League, you have to reach almost 100 points," shared Guardiola.
"For this reason, we helped the 'Liverpool' team move forward and acquire incredible players. All teams behind 'Liverpool' understand that they must reach the 100-point mark. That is the level you must reach in order to compete with them.
No one, except us, has managed to win the Premier League twice in the last 11 years. We did it only by recording a series of 14 consecutive victories.
For this reason, regardless of what people are saying about us now, I will never forget what this team has done," Guardiola said.
"Man City," who defeated "Arsenal" tonight, would maintain a 14-point deficit behind "Liverpool."
