Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that the club will need to strengthen with new players this summer and commented on the situation regarding John Stones' injury:

"J. Stones does not require surgery for his thigh injury.”

"Of course, we will need to acquire new players, but at the same time we must retain as many players as we can.

We need a slightly larger squad... Considering that there will be the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer.”

Manchester City is currently in fourth place in the English championship with 47 points, just a point behind Nottingham Forest.
