"Manchester City" after the season plans to spend money - Pep Guardiola has identified three or four possible newcomers.
The Catalan did not hesitate in a press conference and revealed two main summer goals - to acquire a new holding midfielder and solve the never-ending problems on the left side of defense.
"You know very well that we are looking for a holding midfielder and a few other positions," said P. Guardiola.
"Man City" paid 60 million pounds for left-back Benjamin Mendy in 2017, but he has been more prominent on social media due to constant injuries than on the pitch.
"If injuries prevented him from playing in both seasons, the same could happen in the third. We hope that it won't happen, but the truth is that we can only use Benjamin's services in a few matches. That's the reality.
"I don't know what will happen after the season, but we are thinking about certain options in this position. Only the strongest remain in the team every day.
"There are three or four positions we are focusing on. We all have certain ideas," added P. Guardiola.
