After leaving Barcelona and not reaching the Champions League final even once, Pep Guardiola believes that what Manchester City achieved this season is more difficult than triumphing in that tournament.
On Saturday, Man City crushed Watford 6-0 in the FA Cup final and became the first club in England to win all possible domestic trophies.
The Citizens failed to win only the Champions League this season, exiting in the quarterfinals.
"This is one of the best seasons I've had as a coach," Guardiola said after the triumph. "I wouldn't say it's the best season, but it's definitely close to it."
"Being the first team to win a treble in England means that sooner or later someone else will do the same. I'm happy that we became the first because it required consistency over the course of 10 months.
"I truly love the Champions League, but achieving this treble is much more challenging than winning the Champions League tournament," the Catalan stated.
