Liverpool's "Everton" captain Phil Jagielka invites Wayne Rooney to return to the "iris" ranks.
This season has been particularly tough for the striker - he lost his place not only at "Manchester United", but also in the starting lineup of the England national team.
Therefore, the Merseyside team's defender believes that a new challenge would help the 31-year-old footballer revive his career.
"Perhaps a new start somewhere else would help him and maybe just one game separates him from becoming a hero again. He is an 'Evertonian' and I'm sure the fans would be delighted to see him," Jagielka said.
"He built bridges potentially burned with many for years when he was a young boy, so now we need to watch this space."
Rooney left the "Everton" team and moved to "Man United" back in 2004.
