England national team coach Gareth Southgate revealed that in yesterday's friendly match against Germany, a forced substitution for center-back Phil Jones likely didn't bring anything serious.
His injury would have caused a big headache for "Manchester United" manager Jose Mourinho, who this season has placed great trust in the 25-year-old footballer.
However, it seems that the danger signals were only temporary.
"I think there were a few shaky moments in the first half - mainly because Phil seemed to have hurt something," Southgate said.
"He looks good, we let him go. The injury is one he's had before, but now it doesn't seem serious, so everything is fine. We'll see if Phil stays with us."
England national team will play another friendly match against Brazil on Tuesday. It is likely that Jones' health will not be risked by the coaches, as he has been battling injuries throughout his career.
