The legendary German national team player Philip Lahm revealed how the voters who had the right to vote in the upcoming World Cup host elections were deceived.

It was decided some time ago that the 2026 World Cup would be hosted by Mexico, the USA, and Canada, while the fates of the 2030 and 2034 tournaments were recently determined.

The 2030 World Cup will start in South America, celebrating the centenary of the tournament, and then move to Morocco, Portugal, and Spain. Meanwhile, the 2034 championship was held in Saudi Arabia. This was confirmed after a brief FIFA investigation into human rights violations in that country.

Lahm revealed to the "Relevo" newspaper that it was complicated to vote for the Saudi Arabian candidature.

"They made it so that both options had to be voted for at the same time. It was impossible to vote for one option and not the other.

This is not fair... the biggest football tournaments should be held in democratic countries,” said the former renowned defender.
