The football world eagerly awaits what decision the eccentric Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimović will make.
38-year-old Ibra recently ended his stint in the MLS championship with the Los Angeles Galaxy club and bluntly stated that no one will remember or talk about this league after his departure.
Z. Ibrahimović, who is not planning to retire yet, is considering the possibility of returning to Italy, where he would reportedly be welcomed by clubs such as Napoli and Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, former Milan and Italian national team footballer Paolo Maldini publicly doubted whether Ibra would dare to make such a decision.
"If Z. Ibrahimović decides to play in Serie A again, it will be a dream comeback for many reasons. However, I think he is somewhat afraid to return to Italy. He is afraid that he will not be as good as he used to be," said P. Maldini expressing his opinion on "Sky Sport Italia".
The current director of Milan and himself recalled the sunset of his career and his last years at the Milan club.
"I remember the moment when Carlo Ancelotti benched me during the Milan derby. And that's when I realized that I wouldn't play the same way as before. I don't know if Z. Ibrahimović would come to terms with that," said P. Maldini.
