Club defender stated that in Saturday's match against "Empoli," which ended in a 0-0 draw, the player saw many positive things.

"Lately, things have not been going well for us, but the team showed good unity in the last matches and we played focused until the final whistle. "Empoli" is a very strong team, they are doing well in "Serie A" this year. However, I think we took the first step towards the end of the crisis," said P. Maldini.

However, the defender admitted that the team still has problems scoring goals.

"Sometimes a victory or defeat is determined by very little, matches can be decided by a few centimeters. In the past, our club was able to score, but this season it is difficult to do so and that is a huge problem," revealed P. Maldini about the club's problems.

The former player of the Italian national team dismissed critics who claim that "Milan" has too many old players in its lineup.

"We continue to work without listening to those people who know nothing about football. The most important thing is that coach Carlo Ancelotti sees what we are capable of during training," said the 38-year-old defender.

Despite the poor form in the Italian championship, Milan has not encountered major problems in the Champions League so far.

"This season reminds me of the 2002-03 season, when we had problems in "Serie A," but we managed to win the Champions League," concluded P. Maldini.
