P. Pogba: "My performances are judged by the transfer fee"

The most expensive player in the world, Paul Pogba, claims that it is precisely because of his high transfer fee that he now receives so much criticism in the media.

P. Pogba had a season of great ups and downs. Nevertheless, his future at Manchester United remains unclear, as Real Madrid knocks at the door.

In 2016, P. Pogba cost the "Man Utd" team 105 million euros. This summer, he is valued at around 150 million euros.

"When you become the most expensive player on the planet, you are always judged differently than others," said P. Pogba. - They expect more from you just because of the transfer fee. Good matches for them are normal matches, while top-level matches are good matches".

"A lot of money was paid for me, but that amount decreased when other transfers started. I am a midfielder, so that can also influence it.

People see attackers more because they score goals and immediately make a difference. Neymar and Mbappe do not receive a similar reaction because they are attackers.

I knew I would have to accept it and that it would have a huge impact. However, I certainly did not expect this amount to become so negative towards me. When the contract was signed with me, there were no such comments that are now being made.

I did not expect that the transfer fee could so strongly change people's opinions," added the struggling P. Pogba in Manchester.
