During the last days of August, reports circulating in the English media about the possible departure of Turin's "Juventus" talent Paul Pogba to London's "Chelsea" were most likely not far from the truth.
The Italian newspaper "Gazzetta dello Sport" claims that the "blues" actually offered as much as 85 million euros and the Turin team was ready to approve the deal.
However, the Frenchman himself assessed the situation, and after talking to his agent, decided to reject Chelsea's offer and help the Juventus club stand on its feet after the departures of A.Pirlo, C.Tevez, and A.Vidal during the off-season.
The huge salary offered by Roman Abramovich did not tempt the midfielder, far exceeding his current salary of 4.5 million euros per season.
According to the press, such a move by the footballer only benefited the Turin team, as due to the craziness of other teams' spending in the final hours of the transfer window, P.Pogba's price has now risen to 120 million euros.
