French national team midfielder Paul Pogba wants to help his team triumph in the World Cup, as he may not be able to play in it anymore.
The 25-year-old footballer has already made a significant contribution to "Les Bleus" victories against Australia and Peru, securing their spot in the tournament quarterfinals.
However, despite his good performance so far, the "Manchester United" star continues to be the main target of critics.
"Perhaps this is my last World Cup, who knows," Pogba said.
"I truly enjoy the game. I intend to ignore the critics and speak on the pitch because that is the only answer."
"I give my all for these jerseys, my team, France. I really want to win this World Cup."
When asked why he may not play in future tournaments, Pogba replied: "I am realistic about the fact that this could be my last World Cup."
"We don't know what will happen tomorrow, maybe I'll get injured or there will be players who surpass me."
"Still, I hope to play in more than one. Some players in their careers do not even play in one World Cup."
