One of the best-paid London's Arsenal footballers Mesut Ozil appeared in just one match this season in the Premier League.
However, the 31-year-old German recently confirmed that he is willing to stay with the Gunners until the end of his contract, which runs until the summer of 2021.
Former Manchester United footballer Paul Scholes spoke on BT Sport about the unnecessary midfield saft of the Arsenal team on Thursday, suggesting that such a player would be useful for the Red Devils.
"A player like Ozil would be beneficial for Manchester United, as he can be a link between all the lines. He is a great player who has proven his worth throughout his career," Scholes said.
"Perhaps Ozil could be a short-term solution. However, it all depends on him.
"I don't believe it will happen, but he is the type of player who could help solve Man Utd's problems temporarily," the Englishman added.
