Former "Manchester United" defender Paul Scholes admits that he is not convinced by the progress of the club after Louis van Gaal took over the managerial reins.
The "Red Devils" have earned 13 points in the season after ten "Premier League" matches and are currently in tenth place. Meanwhile, last year, under David Moyes' management, the team had earned five points more at the same stage of the season.
This summer, Van Gaal initiated a major overhaul of the team in the transfer market, including a record-breaking deal for an English club, when Madrid's "Real" defender Angel Di Maria was purchased for 76 million euros. Scholes insists that "United" should have started the season better.
"Louis van Gaal talks about progress. I thought that at this point, United would have earned more points than last year," the former footballer wrote in The Independent.
"It's very difficult to understand what Van Gaal is thinking during the matches. His behavior doesn't change at all. He seems a bit lost."
"From the looks of it, he is a completely different person from the one we saw at the World Cup this summer."
