"Manchester United" legend Paul Scholes believes that in the FA Cup semi-finals against London's "Tottenham" team, coach Jose Mourinho should leave Alex Sanchez on the bench. Former London "Arsenal" leader among the "Red Devils" failed to shine this season and has only scored two goals in the "Premier League" with the team.
Scholes insists that the 29-year-old winger simply is not strong enough to start the match from the first minutes. "I think it will be important to decide who will play alongside Lukaku," the Englishman told "BT Sport". "I would start Rashford and Martial, but I guess he will probably bring back Sanchez."
"I just don't think his form is good enough. I think lately he has been quite predictable, although we know he has talent."
"Of course, he is a wonderful player, but he has not shown it yet in the "Manchester United" ranks. In my opinion, Martial and Rashford are better choices."
Sanchez could not help his team when they lost to the underdog "West Bromwich Albion", and in the decisive game against "Bournemouth", the Chilean did not show up.
