London's "Arsenal" legend Patrick Vieira is one of those footballers who played for the team when they last won the English "Premier" league, criticized Arsene Wenger's team selection work.
The "Gunners" are already accustomed to being forgotten about competing for the champion's title even before the season is halfway through. This season is no exception - a 21-point gap from the leaders and seventh position in the league table.
The French defender, who defended the colors of Arsenal for almost a decade, claims that Arsenal is not competing with Man City because they simply do not have a good enough team, and the attitude of some players towards the club is also unjustifiable.
"When you look at Arsenal over the past few years, you hope that this club can achieve something, because it is a team from which you always expect the highest goals," Vieira told Sky Sports.
"Looking at recent years, of course, the results have not been good enough for both the club and the fans. When you are struggling to win games, you always want to win, but I don't see that here.
"There are players in this team who should seriously think about their future plans and solve it as soon as possible. Then you can attract high-class players who would pose a challenge to the Man City team, which, I believe, will be overcome in the coming years," added P. Vieira.
