Former London "Arsenal" star Patrick Vieira believes that the lack of physical strength and personality prevents the "gunners" from triumphing in England.
Throughout his career, the Frenchman won three "Premier" league titles among Arsene Wenger's disciples and was part of the record-breaking team that managed to finish a season undefeated.
This triumph was precisely the last for the capital team - "Arsenal" has not won the country's championship since 2004.
"In my generation, there were many physically strong players," Vieira told The Telegraph. "In recent years, Arsenal has relied more on technical footballers. The 'Invincibles' (the composition of the 'gunners' in 2003-2004) had both types of players."
"Now watching Arsenal's games, I see that they play good football, but there is a feeling that they lack something - physical strength, personality."
"The team is not performing as well as it used to, they need to win matches. They disappoint by losing games that they should win."
Vieira also added that Wenger should involve former "Arsenal" players more in the management of the club.
