Former "Arsenal" defender Patrick Vieira has left his position at "Manchester City" club and became the new strategist of "New York City".
Speaking about his appointment as a coach, the Frenchman did not hide his joy:
"I am extremely pleased to become the new head coach of the 'New York City' club. Working with these players, Claudio Reyna and Rob Vartughian, and the entire amazing team staff is truly an exciting prospect for me as a coach.
I would also like to thank everyone at 'Manchester City' club, especially Brian Marwood, my assistants, and of course, every young player I had the opportunity to work with. Thank them for all the support, dedication to common goals and for making my time at the club so stimulating and enjoyable," Vieira said after his appointment as coach.
During his time working with the young players at "City", Vieira won the "Premier" League international cup, and currently the youth team is in first place in the UEFA youth league.
