Another bright star is leaving the sinking Turin club - the Italian media reports that the leaders of Milan are finishing negotiations with experienced French midfielder Patrick Vieira.
The 30-year-old midfielder, who arrived in Italy last summer from London for 20 million euros, this time cost "only" 13 million to Inter.
The footballer should sign a four-year contract at the beginning of next week. According to the agent of the French midfielder born in Senegal, his client will earn about 4.5 million euros per season, and before the official signing, a few small details need to be ironed out.
P. Vieira is not a newcomer in Italian football - at the age of 19, he played for Milan and was trained by former Juventus coach Fabio Capello. However, he did not fit into the team back then and in 1996 moved to Arsenal for 6 million euros, where he played 279 matches in England over nine years and won three Premier League titles and four FA Cup champion titles.
Last summer, the midfielder decided to seek a new challenge and chose to join Inter, but after a corruption scandal, he decided not to try his luck in the second strongest league and agreed to move to Inter.
There were rumors that several top English clubs were also interested in Vieira's services, but the footballer decided to stay in Italy.
A few days ago, four players left Juventus - defender Fabio Cannavaro and midfielder Emerson chose Madrid, while Gianluca Zambrotta and Lilian Thuram are heading to Barcelona.
