Experienced "Manchester City" defender Pablo Zabaleta believes that Madrid's "Real" was the most favorable opponent for them out of the three possible UEFA Champions League semi-finalists.
On Tuesday evening, "Man City" will face the 2014 European champions at their stadium. Zinedine Zidane's coached "Real" team has scored 26 goals in the Champions League this season and has not conceded a goal at home so far. P. Zabaleta claims that at this stage there are no easy opponents, but due to their style of play, the "whites" were the most suitable opponents for them.
"All three opponents would be equally strong," replied P. Zabaleta. "In the Champions League semi-finals, you cannot expect easy opponents because there simply aren't any. Of course, one opponent may be more favorable to us due to their playing style."
"Both 'Real' and us like to play attacking football. With the aggressiveness in our attack, I think we can expect a very attacking game with plenty of goals.
The Madrid team really likes to attack. They do it very successfully, but the spaces they leave in defense can give us opportunities to score. We have enough quality to cause problems for this team," added the 31-year-old defender.
