Palanga SC won the Lithuanian youth U18 futsal championship trophies

On February 11, the battles of the 2024 Lithuanian Youth Hall Football Championship U18 division came to an end. The final round matches roared in the arena of the Palanga Sports Center.

In this age group, 4 teams competed, which ranked as follows after the 6th round: Palangos SC (18 points), FK "Banga" (12 points), Kuršėnų SM (3 points), FK "Babrungas" (3 points).

In the Palanga Sports Center arena, the local team supported by their fans defeated the Gargždai team with a score of 3:0 and thus secured the title of Lithuanian champions. The most productive player of the division, Mantas Virvičius, took the opportunity to score his 19th goal of the season.

After that, the representatives of Plungė and Kuršėnų took to the field. Although FK "Babrungas" once defeated their opponents 4:3, due to a better goal difference in mutual matches, the Kuršėnų team took a higher place on the tournament table.

After the matches, the awards were presented to the team members by the head coach of the U19 boys futsal national team, Edvinas Alimkinas. The best goalkeeper was recognized as Laurynas Drazdas from Palanga, the most valuable player of the championship - Kuršėnų SM player Jokūbas Frekaucan. Mantas Virvičius, who demonstrated the best performance this year, also received his award.

7-10. Jokūbas Frekaucan (Kuršėnų SM), Dino Šileika (FK "Banga"), Merūnas Stalmokas, and Dovydas Zubavičius (Palangos SC) - 5 goals each
