Today the first two matches of the fifteenth round of the strongest Italian league were played. The victories in them were celebrated by the home teams. In the earlier matches, the "Palermo" footballers managed to earn three points and temporarily climbed to the ninth place in the tournament table. They, after a very fierce battle, defeated the "Sassuolo" team with a score of 2-1. The hosts opened the scoring just three minutes into the game with a goal from Luca Rigoni. The first half then ended quietly, and after playing a little over twenty minutes in the second half, the away team's goalkeeper Andrea Consigli earned a red card. It seemed that "Palermo" would indeed secure the victory, but with five minutes left until the end of regular time, Leonardo Pavoletti managed to equalize the score. However, the team playing at home managed to recover and in the final moments of the match, after a pass from Franco Vasquez, Andrea Belotti scored. In the capital city of Rome, the local team "Lazio" clashed with the Bergamo team "Atalanta." Unable to break through the opponent's defense in the first half, the home team turned things around in the second half. After the break, twice, Stefano Mauri scored precise shots following passes from Felipe Anderson, and the final blow came less than 10 minutes before the end of regular time by Senad Lulic. By earning three points, the Rome footballers temporarily found themselves in third place on the table. Tomorrow, however, "Lazio" could potentially drop to seventh place. Meanwhile, "Atalanta" with 14 points risks falling into the relegation zone.
