„Palermo“ team has confirmed that negotiations have started with „Tottenham Hotspur“ for the acquisition of Franco Vazquez, but they are demanding a substantial amount for this player.
The Argentine midfielder has been playing for „Palermo“ since the 2012-2013 season, and his performance has attracted the attention of several teams. Club president Maurizio Zamparini revealed that Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring his compatriot to the Premier League, but they will not let him go for less than what „Sassuolo“ will receive for Domenico Berardi.
„We are negotiating with „Tottenham Hotspur“ for Vazquez and I have asked for 25 million euros for him. We have received several lower offers for him, but in my opinion, he is worth as much as Domenico Berardi. He would fit in well with teams like „Leicester“, „Milan“, and „Roma“, but if Berardi is sold for 25 million, then I will not sell Vazquez for any less“, - Zamparini told Sky Sports.
Last season in the Serie A championship, Vazquez scored eight goals and provided six assists.
