Panevėžys says goodbye to J. Sarpong

After the national team's break, we will not see midfielder Jeffrey Sarpong at the "Panevėžys" football club, as announced in the official club statement. The player, whose contract was valid until the end of this season, will leave the capital of Aukštaitija for family reasons.

In his last match representing "Panevėžys," J. Sarpong will play against Marijampolė's "Sūduva." The duel will begin at 18:00 on September 1, Sunday, at the "Aukštaitija" stadium.

The legionnaire from the Netherlands has undoubtedly left the brightest mark on the club's history among foreign players. J. Sarpong joined the team at the beginning of 2021 and scored 18 goals and provided 28 assists in 127 matches in the Lithuanian championship.

In the "FPRO LFF Cup," the midfielder played 10 matches, scoring twice, and also appeared a couple of times in the Supercup and 13 times in UEFA competitions. With the capital city team, J. Sarpong won the Supercup twice and became the Lithuanian champion once.

The "Panevėžys" football club thanks J. Sarpong for the time spent together, his significant contribution in winning historic trophies, and wishes him the greatest success in future challenges.
