Panevezys" signed a one-year contract with N. Gorobsov

The Lithuanian champion football club "Panevėžys" has teamed up with another offseason newcomer. It is the highly recommended goalkeeper Nicolas Gorobsovas, with whom a one-year contract has been signed.

The 34-year-old Argentine developed in the "Vicenza" club during his youth and later was bought by the "Torino" team. The Italian championship representatives loaned the goalkeeper to the teams of "Cesena", Timișoara's "Politehnica", and the same city's "Poli" and "Nocerina".

Since 2014, N. Gorobsovas has also represented three more Romanian clubs - "Targu Mureș", Chișinău's "Concordia", and "Voluntari". In addition, he played briefly in Israel, Argentina, and the USA - with Tel Aviv's "Hapoel", "Parana", and "Miami United".

After the last phase in Romania, the goalkeeper arrived at Marijampolė's "Sūduva", where he spent a season and a half. N. Gorobsovas defended the honor of Vilnius' "Žalgiris" for another two years, once becoming a Lithuanian champion.

"I was motivated to join 'Panevėžys' due to the coach's interest shown. Participation in European competitions and performance in the last season also influenced the decision. My goals - to fulfill the team's expectations, win every title in Lithuania, and contribute to the best performance of the club in European competitions," the Argentine told the website fk-panevezys.lt.

N. Gorobsovas has already joined the team's training sessions, and the closest friendly match for "Panevėžys" will be on February 3, this Saturday, in the "Kaunas Žalgiris" FA arena. The match against the team from Kaunas district "Hegelmann" starts at 5 pm.
