Pankratjevas: my future - not in my hands © EuroFootball.com

The coach of the Lithuanian national team, Igoris Pankratjevas, has decided not to consider the possibility of staying at the helm of the national team, but he was pleased with the last two World Cup qualifying matches.

Our country's footballers defeated Latvia on Friday, but lost to Bosnia and Herzegovina, maintaining fourth place in the group.

"I thank my men, but today we are not ready to attack the Bosnians. We chose a defensive plan, and the strongest wins - this time everything was decided by one goal," said I. Pankratjevas. - Despite the loss, I am satisfied with the footballers."

He continued: "Overall, the most difficult part of the entire cycle was playing against Bosnia and Herzegovina, which rightfully made it to the World Cup. We achieved our minimum goals - we surpassed Latvia."

Regarding his future in the coaching position, Pankratjevas, cautiously addressing questions from journalists during the press conference, said: "I was appointed for two matches, and all coaches have the opportunity to sign a contract. After these matches, we are all tired - both the coaches and the players."

When asked if he sees a clear nucleus for the future in the national team, the strategist replied: "It's hard to say, because each coach chooses players based on their own perspective."
