Caneira is currently playing for a club in the French championship. This 25-year-old player is currently considered one of the best defenders playing in this league. Caneira could have ended up in PSG club already last year with his compatriot Pedro Pauleta, but he decided to stay in his old club, which acquired him from Milan.
Abidal is a defender for the French youth national team (up to 21 years old). This young player attracted the attention of European clubs already last year when he moved from to a club. Abidal could have also ended up in Paris last year, but "Lille" did not want to release him. PSG coach Vahid Halilhodzic hopes to sign a contract with the player in June.
It is also said that PSG will sign a long-term contract with versatile Argentinean national team player Juan Pablo Sorin, who is currently on loan from the club "Cruzeiro."
