Participants of the Europa League semi-final: "Dnipro", "Fiorentina", "Sevilla" and "Napoli"

Yesterday evening, after explaining the four strongest teams of this season's Old Continent to the teams of the UEFA Europa League semifinals today, they explained. Last week, after playing in Belgium with a scoreless draw, the Club Bruges and Dnipro clubs in Dnepropetrovsk returned to fight in Ukraine. The leader of the Belgian championship was considered the favorite before the first match, but after failing to win at home, the teams' chances to advance to the next stage were equalized. After the first half, the result was the same as last Thursday - no goals were scored. Most of the second half also seemed like the teams would have to play in extra time, but Dnipro member Yevhen Shakhov managed to bring Ukrainians a ticket further with his goal. In Florence, the Fiorentina and Dynamo Kyiv clubs, who also finished the first game with a draw, clashed. However, both teams managed to score a goal here. In the return match, after Mario Gomez's goal, Vincenzo Montella's pupils broke out in the first half, and Jeremain Lens, who received two yellow cards, finished the game even before the German's goal. This resulted in "Viola" playing better and adding another goal in the final minutes through Juan Vargas. Last season's Sevilla players who raised the trophy went to St. Petersburg, where they tried to beat Zenit again for the second time. At home after a difficult battle, they managed to expand their victory with a score of 2-1, but they failed to repeat the same in Russia. Last week, Zenit led 1-0 after the first half, and immediately Spaniards led by the same result. Carlos Bacca successfully converted the penalty shootout but Salomon Rondon equalized the result immediately after the break. Then in the 72nd minute, Hulk gave the hosts an advantage, but the Russian fans did not see the extra time because Kevin Gameiro, who appeared after the substitution in the 85th minute, expanded the equalizers. Finally, in Naples, the local team fought with Wolfsburg, who finished second in the German championship last week and was defeated 4-1. This evening's guests no longer had practical possibilities to move further. The teams played the first half without goals, but they poured in the second. Napoli was ahead with a total result of 6-1 after precise strikes by Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens, but the Germans managed to reduce the deficit by two goals. Although Ivan Perisic's goal led to a draw, Rafa Benitez's pupils advanced to the next stage without major troubles.
