French national team coach Laurent Blanc has included Yoann Gourcuff and Dimitri Payet in the squad for the Old Continent qualifying matches against Romania and Luxembourg.

The young strategist has not called up Gourcuff so far, who has not been shining for Lyon this season. The chance to prove himself will also be given to Saint Etienne's leader Payet, who has helped his team to lead the French championship.

Patrice Evra and Franck Ribery will not be in the squad, as they are disqualified for misconduct at the World Cup. Ribery is also recovering from an injury.

Toulalan, who was considered one of the leaders, did not find a place in Blanco's team.
