On Wednesday, the first round of qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup ended. In Group J, perhaps the biggest sensation of these qualifiers was recorded - Germany lost at home to North Macedonia with a score of 1:2. The guests took the lead during the added time of the first half with a goal from the team's legend Goran Pandev. The Germans equalized in the 63rd minute with a penalty kick converted by Ilkay Gundogan. North Macedonia gifted themselves a sensational victory in the 85th minute with Elif Elmas' goal. After three rounds, Germany is currently in third place in Group J, behind North Macedonia and Armenia. In Group I, England secured their third victory by defeating Poland 2:1 at home. The hosts started stronger and Harry Kane converted a penalty in the 19th minute. Poland equalized in the 58th minute through Jakub Moder. England's victory came in the 85th minute with a goal from Harry Maguire. This was England's third win out of three possible.
