„Chelsea“ newcomer Pedro says that Cesc Fabregas and Jose Mourinho played a crucial role in convincing him to move to London.
Pedro, who cost £21.4 million, trained with his new teammates yesterday and could make his debut on Sunday against „West Bromwich Albion“.
„He (Mourinho - ed. note) is one of the main reasons why I am here. He called me several times and said that I will strengthen the team and he needs me,“ Pedro said.
„He has won titles wherever he has been. I am very excited about the opportunity to work with him and hopefully win more titles,“ Pedro added.
„I also spoke with C. Fabregas. We are very good friends. I know that I will feel at home here and that was one of the reasons why I decided to come to „Chelsea“.
„If the coach decides to keep me, I am ready to play immediately. I am in good shape because I have already played for „Barcelona“ this season. It's a new challenge and I can't wait for it to begin,“ Pedro concluded.
