The best players of the past season of the "Premier" League football were selected, and Manchester City defender Kevin De Bruyne received recognition from his colleagues. The English Professional Players Association also named the 29-year-old Belgian as the best player of the year, making him the first "Man City" player to receive such recognition. Behind K. De Bruyne in the voting were four "Liverpool" players: Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Last season, the Belgian played 35 matches in the "Premier" League, scoring 13 goals and making 20 assists, thereby setting a record for the most assists in the "Premier" League.

The PFA award for the best young player went to "Liverpool" full-back T. Alexander-Arnold. The 21-year-old Englishman played in every 38 matches of the last season of the "Premier" League, scoring 4 goals and making 13 assists.
