Player market twist: C.Tevez to join "Juventus", G.Higuain to join "Arsenal"? © EuroFootball.com

The high-class hunter Juventus from Turin is closer to reaching an agreement with Carlos Tevez than with Gonzalo Higuain, who is currently a player at Arsenal in London, various sources report.

The Italian club has two main contenders to join the team next season, in addition to the Spanish national team striker Fernando Llorente, who joined the team this summer.

Until recently, G. Higuain, who had a contract with Real Madrid, was considered the favorite to join the Turin team. However, according to the English newspaper "Daily Mirror," longtime Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had already met with the player's father, who represents his son's interests, and agreed on the conditions of the future contract.

When asked about the possibility of playing eight years in a row at a London club that has not won a title, G. Higuain replied, "It suits me. I am young and can score many goals."

Turning 26 in December, the Argentine will likely cost the English club no less than 22 million euros and a weekly salary of 150 thousand euros.

Meanwhile, Juventus has turned its attention to Tevez, who is leaving Manchester City. According to unofficial data, the star of the Argentine national team has agreed to the contract terms offered by the multiple Italian champions, which include an annual salary of 6 million euros and solid bonuses. This is also confirmed by several betting offices refusing to take bets on Tevez's move to the Italian club.

If this transfer gets the green light, it is believed that Juventus will withdraw from the race for G. Higuain and will try to attract the talented Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic.
