"France Football" collected data on footballers and coaches and revealed who earned the most this season.
The total earnings of players and coaches included not only the salaries received from clubs, but also various bonuses, amounts from endorsements and other possible sources of income.
According to "France Football" data, the highest earner this season is Madrid's "Real" star Cristiano Ronaldo, whose account has already been topped up by 87.5 million euros.
In second place, C. Ronaldo's biggest competitor is L. Messi, who earned 76.5 million euros. In third position with 55.5 million euros is Neymar, in fourth place is Gareth Bale (41 million), and in fifth place is Ezequiel Lavezzi, who is competing in China (28.5 million).
The top five highest-earning coaches did not include the managers of Madrid's "Real" and "Barcelona" clubs.
In first place is "Manchester United" manager Jose Mourinho, who raked in 28 million euros. In second place is Marcelo Lippi working in China (23.5 million), and in third place is Laurent Blanc, who received a huge compensation from PSG (20 million).
In fourth place with 15.8 million euros is Bayern Munich's coach Carlo Ancelotti, and the fifth spot goes to "Manchester City" coach Pep Guardiola, who earned 14.5 million euros.
