"Gremio" team players were outraged by the decision of the organizers of the championship in the state of South Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, not to stop the competition due to the threat of coronavirus. Representatives of one of the most famous clubs in the country decided to organize a protest action. Before the closed match against the team "Sao Luiz," the "Gremio" football players stepped onto the field wearing protective face masks, but later removed them and played as usual. "This protest means that the players want the championship to be suspended - priority should be given to life," said "Gremio" sports director Paulo Luzas.
