Former "Manchester United" footballer Phil Neville believes that the "Red Devils" need to spend at least another £100 million in order to compete for titles.
After a not very successful season last summer, Manchester United found a new coach - Louis van Gaal, who bought new players for around £190 million, but the results of the new season are not pleasing.
"I think that 'Manchester United' club needs to spend about £100 million in the upcoming transfer windows if they want to compete for at least one title," said the former footballer.
"There are still many gaps in the team that need to be filled with new players. The obvious position where players are needed is in the midfield defense. Also, 'United' needs to look for a center and defensive midfielder.
They do not have world-class defenders, so I think that 'Man Utd' should look for a high-class defender in the next two transfer windows," Neville concluded.
After 5 rounds in the English Premier League, L. van Gaal's team is currently in 12th place.
